Constant dilemma while travelling: do we shoot photos during the ‘Golden Hour’? or do we go for a beer? How about doing both?

Two different beer and cheese photos, both taken in Belgium where sunlight was a very rare thing, at least when we were there. This is in Hasselt, Belgium, where there wasn’t any sun, so there wasn’t any golden hour and consequently no beer vs. photography decision to be made. The beer must have been nondescript; I can’t find it in my notes anywhere. Not sure if I was crazy about the pepper on the cheese either…

This is photographed in Mons, Belgium. The beers are Grimbergen and Orval, both excellent Belgian beers, as usual! Even the cheese was wonderful! Or maybe it was that golden light that just made everything seem better!
