Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreshadow

Foreshadow: a shadow cast over the future. For me this is a literary rather than visual device.

However, being a designer, I couldn’t help thinking about using ‘foreshadowing’ on the covers of books that descend into some ominous future. Now I just need to come up with some titles for these imaginary novels!

If these were all book covers what stories would they tell?

Here is the shadow cast by an old-fashioned baby carriage (Columbia, California).
shadow A cathedral silhouetted against stormy skies foretells of an ominous story (Delft, Holland).
Church against a stormy sky in Delft An abandoned cross hints of some forgotten story (Ostional, Costa Rica).
