Foreshadow: a shadow cast over the future. For me this is a literary rather than visual device.
However, being a designer, I couldn’t help thinking about using ‘foreshadowing’ on the covers of books that descend into some ominous future. Now I just need to come up with some titles for these imaginary novels!
If these were all book covers what stories would they tell?
Here is the shadow cast by an old-fashioned baby carriage (Columbia, California).
A cathedral silhouetted against stormy skies foretells of an ominous story (Delft, Holland).
An abandoned cross hints of some forgotten story (Ostional, Costa Rica).

Very interesting photos. I wonder what the child that used the carriage did with thier life? and the cross, the neglected grave… there are so many questions to ask…

Great photo of the cross that looks like its days are nearly over.
