Why do some towns have almost every building painted the same colour? Take Hoi An in Vietnam for instance. Almost every building in the town is painted yellow.
Why? Was there a sale on yellow paint the day that everyone decided to paint their houses? Or did someone paint their house yellow and everyone else decided it looked nice and the next thing you know the whole town was painted yellow?
Hoi An is designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, so it will probably remain yellow forever!
