U Bien Bridge is a photographer’s delight, and the surrounding waters offer glimpses of life on the Irriwaddy River.

The boats are also used to navigate the river. After early morning fishing, many fisherman tie their boats to the bridge and rest in its shade during the hottest time of the day.This boat has a couple of inches of water in it, but the napping fisherman doesn’t seem overly concerned about it.
