Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed Buddhas

In Mandalay there were many versions of Buddha for sale.

These ones were made of brightly-coloured gilded wood. But they looked infinitely more interesting and mysterious from behind, with only their shadowed silhouettes showing on the white cloth backdrop.
Shadow Buddhas at Mandalay, Myanmar I didn’t take any photos of the Buddhas from the front. However, the woman selling the Buddhas posed for me in front of her wooden puppets, which were painted in a similar style to the Buddhas.
