Looking down into the centre of some bromeliads in the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden…
In the center of every bromeliads is a small pool where the water collects and nourishes the plant.

We’re lucky to see so much plant diversity in one location. I wonder who first thought of the botanical garden concept
Botanical gardens are always one of my number one stops – there are so many different plants in the world and I love to discover every single one of them!
LOVE bromeliads, they’re one of my favourite plants!
I like that in the centre of the plant they collect little pools of water, and my favourite was the one that was developing a secondary eco-system for the little floating plants…
At one stage I think I had three dozen different varieties… sending them to new homes was one of the hardest things to do with packing up to move overseas. 😦
Moving and leaving your plants behind is one of the hardest things in the world…
