October 3, late…
Only a couple of days in Spain and I was already having problems with the constant ‘meat and potatoes and bread’ diet.
There was potato salad on bread.
Tapas of chicken leg served with patatas bravas. These ‘potatoes with attitude’ were spicy, and tomatoey with a bit of chicken gravy mixed in.
A pincho of serrano ham on rustic Spanish bread along with an agua mineral.
A ración of serrano ham with breadsticks.
A light pre-lunch snack of ‘empanadas‘ (bread stuffed with chicken) along with some suspiciously pink salami on more bread.
Of course I love BBQ…
…but I was really starting to crave something green.
So they brought me some olives…
