I’ve always loved camping and hope to continue to do it even as I grow old and crotchety!
Possibly my least favourite thing about camping is getting up with the sun. Here I am crawling out of our tent in the morning, obviously before I discovered coffee.

It will take me years to get all my camping and sketching trips up on my art blog. Here is the first one of many camping/sketching trips done around BC, from along the highway that runs from Sooke to the end of the Juan de Fuca Trail on Vancouver Island.

Fortunately for us the snow just shook off and the tent rebounded. Our friends weren’t so lucky – the tent poles snapped under the weight of the snow and they were left in the cold and wet at 2 o’clock in the morning without any place to stay!
