Condor Park signage; this is kilometre 10 in the Quebrada del Condorito (Canyon of Condors), where Argentinean condors have a ‘flight school’ and teach the baby condors how to fly.
At the Newfoundland WW1 Memorial in France, arrows point out the landmarks at the battlefield including ‘Beaumont-Hamel, 3/4 mile’ (the town after which this battle was named) and the ‘Danger Tree’, half-way down ‘No Man’s Land’. The majority of soldiers who tried to make it as far as this tree were shot by the enemy forces.
