Thoughts on the importance of water to brewers.
An interesting note on H₂O and beer from Belgium, the land of a thousand breweries. Most breweries started on farms where the landowners brewed a low alcohol beer for their workers. Everyone drank beer, even the children, as it was safer than drinking the water – this is the way they kept everyone healthy and of course was the beginning of the hundreds of breweries around the country.
