A collection of directional signs in Belgium.
A directional sign near Dinant in the south of Belgium. As for the cat that posed for the sign??? He was in close proximity!
Signs indicating the ‘Route de la Biere’ and a ‘Chateau-Ferme’ near Dinant, Belgium.
Through a rainy car window: signs along Belgium’s ‘Route de la Biere’ include the Abbaye de Maredsous, the Ruines de Montaigle (and Musée), along with an Escargotière which we really meant to check out!
Our first stop was for the famous brewery at Abbaye de Maredsous. That turned out to be a bit of a tourist trap: the beer is now made in France; no one was allowed to go into the diary for sanitation reasons; the abbey was similarly inaccessible. In fact the only place that was accessible was a giant cafeteria /giftshop catering to a half-dozen tour buses. It would have been more fun to take this soggy trail to the abbey.
Sign to the Ruines de Montaigle, probably my favourite ruins in Belgium. They had a great museum too!
A directional sign for the dunes park just in from the coast of Belgium.
Standing in top of the Brugge Bell-tower directional arrows point out the way and distance to London and other capitals.
A different sort of directional sign in Mons.

Wow, the cat really looks like the cat in the sign — what fun! What does the cat sign say? cat crossing? I like the different little icons on the directional signs. The hands made me laugh!
The cat sign says, “slow down for them”!
That’s awesome! I love that. They must have a lot of cats. Japan has a couple cat islands — they should export the sign!
What grand adventures! I love the cat. 🙂 Wonderful post. Thanks for joining the challenge!
