Drive Along the Connemara Coast of Ireland

September 29, drive along the Connemara Coast.

After stopping at the Murrisk Friary and Coffin ship sculpture near Westport we made our way southwest along the Connemara coast ending up in the village of Roundstone that evening.

Kylemore Abbey.

Kylemore Abbey was impressive-looking from the outside but there were 13 coaches in the parking lot and a 13€ charge to get in. We skipped it other than a short walk around the lake to stretch our legs. Kylemore Abbey, IrelandYou rang? Omey Strand & Cleggan.

At Joyce’s Bar we sat in the sun and enjoyed a cold Danish beer (Tuborg) accompanied by melting Dutch cheese (Baby Bels), watched over by a friendly Irish donkey. Donkey at Joyce's Bar in Cleggan, Ireland
