A multitude of lantern and light festivals in Vancouver.
At the Secret Lantern Festival, aka Illuminares, a boat with homemade lanterns floating on Trout Lake. After the Chinese New Year Parade I headed into the labyrinth of lanterns. They were handing out free cups of ginger tea – my fave! The lanterns were pretty cool too.
Yaletown Illuminations 2011 with all manner of lights, fire dancers and ice sculpture. Sadly this one didn’t last…
Heart lights at one of the Lumière sites 2018, an annual winter event inspired by lighting up the long winter nights in Downtown Vancouver.
Christmas lights inside mesh flowers, reflected in the waters at the Festival of Lights of Van Dusen Gardens in Vancouver, Canada.
