June 4, Dongellau.
Initially you pass through rolling hills and woodlands.
A barbwire fence and bluebells in a meadow.
At one point you come to a split in the trail where you choose between starting at the reservoir with the Precipice Walk at the end or visa versa. Choosing the reservoir first apparently involved less uphill climbing.
Considering everything was packed for the half-term holiday, the reservoir was pretty deserted except for a few fisherman.
Rules for reservoirs: No Swimming – Keep Dogs Out.
Panoramic view from the path.
Ouch. Even the grass has thorny bits. The only thing to safely grab onto are the rocks.
Other directions in which to go.
Notes from my Welsh journal on Dolgellau’s Precipice Walk which included directions to the walk and an interesting breakfast discussion on ‘Transition Energy/Economy’ as a woman from Kentucky looks at this region which is transitioning from a coal economy to modern energy, along with comments on the walk itself.
More on Frank’s Tuesday Photo Challenge: Trails.
Oooh, I recall doing this many years ago with my parents….
I like the tree reflection image.

I juts love the trees that look like they are dancing 🙂
Now that you mention it those trees do look as if they are dancing with wild abandon!
Wild abandon indeed 🙂
