There we booked into a B&B, and then headed out for a dinner of hake, salad and chips. A dinner of hake, salad and chips at Castletownbere on the west coast of IrelandSpent a quiet evening at the famous McCarthy’s Bar.

On this day, October 7, we went from Sneem to Castletownbere via the Ballighbeama Gap and Killarney National Park. The next day we went back around the tip of Beara to see what we’d missed, then to the Mizen Head Peninsula before ending up in Skibbereen.
