A collection of mountains from around the world.
Driving through the Ballighbeama Gap to Killarney in Ireland.Creamsicle-coloured mountains in Northwest Argentina on our way through the Andes. (That’s a small graveyard at the bottom of the mountain.)
Aerial photo of snow on the Rocky Mountains in Canada looking very rocky indeed.
The Canadian Rockies in May from ground level in Banff.
In the Picos de Europa of northern Spain.
Mountain Goat up on Hurricane Ridge up in the mountains of the Olympic Peninsula in July, (Washington state, USA).
Laos Mountains looking like something out of the land that time forgot.
Silhouette of the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica.
Al’s photo of the advertising of the volcano Popocatepetl that looms over the church in Cholula, Mexico.
The reality was that the volcano was barely visible and seemed to have jumped over in another direction. The only way I could make it show up at all was to run it through the photo app Snapseed.
Mt. Fuji from the fast train, just one more smokestack among many (Japan).
Mountain ridge at Betws-y-coed in Snowdon National Park, Wales.
Stairs defending along the guard wall surrounding the Amber Fort and Palace near Jaipur in India.

Thank you!

Gorgeous collection of mountain pictures!
Thank you!
Major bummer about the 403 link Elizabeth. your post is beautiful – you DO get around!!! My favorite of these is the last. One day I’d love to visit India. Everyone I know who has been has loved it.
We were in India for about 5 weeks, mostly just Rajasthan (we get around but very slowly). It was very beautiful and neither of us had a single tummy problem the whole time – in fact, I think I gained weight as the food was so good! I have written to WordPress, hopefully they’ll be able to fix the 403 problem…
Wowww. You have covered the globe! Beautiful photos.
Last time I went anywhere significant was in December of 2019. Instead of travelling I’ve been scanning many of my older photos, and travelling a different way, backwards in time.
‘To know who we are we must know where we have been and what we have done’, or something like that, time traveler. 👍
Enthralling! You are really well travelled! Favourite? Impossible. Love them all!
I grew up surrounded by mountains;. I’ll never get tired of them…
