I have seen these trees in France and possibly Italy – they are a bit odd. I love your captures.
We have a lot of different trees in Vancouver but none of them resemble these ones. The weather is not too different between Vancouver and Belgium so we should be able to grow them, whatever they are!
Could be limes that have been pollarded, they do the same here, but ours are not yet shooting! http://wp.me/pL5Ms-2w2
I seem to remember my hubby’s Belgian mom calling the tree out front of our place a Lime tree, but other people have called it a Linden tree. If so I just have to figure out how to ‘pollard’ it to remind myself of Belgium!
Yes, here I was wondering what kind of trees these were and it turns out that there was a ‘Lime’ tree right out front of my place just staring back at me! As of today it’s out in full leaf and already dropping stuff all over the sidewalk which its roots have heaved into a treacherous walkway!
Ah, yes, tree roots and pavements so make a great combination…
