I’ve always loved photographing spiral staircases but Copenhagen had two spiral steeples which I found very unique!
A wrought-iron spiral staircase on the outside of a building in Aalborg, Denmark. A wood spiral staircase in Kullens Fyr Lighthouse. This is in Sweden but was part of the same trip.
A spiral staircase in ArOS, the Modern Art Museum in Aarhus, Denmark.
A spiral staircase in Skagen Lighthouse in Denmark.
The steeple of the Our Saviour’s Church in Copenhagen has a spiral staircase winding its way around it.
A building whose spiral steeple is made up of twisted dragon tails in Copenhagen, Denmark.
More Cosmic Curvature: Architectural Marvels.
Ah. These are outstanding!
I love the steeple with the outside staircase, but not sure I would walk up it.
There are a lot of people that went up it – the railing reaches to their shoulders – you can just see tiny heads peering over – not for anyone with vertigo for sure!
