Someone posted an old photo of this same lighthouse in somewhat rougher weather than we were experiencing!

I’ve always loved the look of lighthouses but never before thought of how they have to stand up to the very worst weather because that’s the prime reason they are there – to be a dependable way for mariners to know of the dangers that lurk in those particular waters…
