Our Veracruz-style dessert, ‘Dulce de Mango‘ (frozen mango concoction), was accompanied by a very unusual rum and peanut butter drink called ‘Torito de Cacahuates‘!
The frozen mango dessert was a mix of
- one kg. of frozen mango
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 vanilla pods scraped
The ingredients were blended in a blender, poured into dessert cups and placed in the freezer for 30 minutes, then served immediately.
The scraped vanilla beans are a particularly appropriate addition, as the ‘vainilla‘ bean comes from an orchid native to the jungles around Veracruz.
